Birthday boy

We went out for dinner this evening to celebrate S’s birthday at the steakhouse. The food was delicious, but we have not been there on a Friday evening before and didn’t realise that it would be so noisy. 

There were six women in their 30’s sat near us that screeched and shouted at one another, making it impossible for us to have a conversation. R has been working in London all week and had lots of news to share with us. 

We abandoned the idea of dessert and coffee, paid the bill and moved to another restaurant. This picture is taken when we were able to hear one another.
