with Cairngorms backdrop, provides a great setting for my beetle survey! A gloriously hot day again with Sedge and Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Swallows, Martins, Oystercatchers , Curlew and Skylarks all present. Thousands of St Marks flies!
There was a Pictish presence here and it is believed St Columba introduced Christianity in the sixth century.
