House dressed for Liberation Day

May 9 is celebrated in Guernsey as it was the day the island was liberated from German occupation in 1945 after 5 years.
Hitler was obsessed with making the Channel Islands into a fortress and a large proportion of his wartime construction effort was expended in the islands. There are many structures remaining to this day including bunkers, watch towers and tunnels.
