Hawthorn
The hawthorn blossom was looking good in the sun this morning.
We walked through the wood then around a couple of grass fields. In the hedgerow there were linnets and goldfinches, and even a sedge warbler. Good to see and hear some different birds.
When I leaned against the fence accidentally, to take a photo, I got a shock from the electric fence, which I didn’t expect to be switched on. That’s the second time this year I’ve done that. I know my brain is probably needing rewired, but I hadn’t thought of doing it that way! :-O
I did odd bits and pieces in the garden in the afternoon, then Geordie lay on the grass under his parasol while I read in the SH.
It’s been another glorious, sunny day. We’re so lucky with this spell of warm weather.
Late afternoon I set about cleaning the inside of the car. I hate doing it, but I’m always pleased with it once it’s done.
