Arrival at Lake Båven

Today, early this afternoon we arrived at our Swedish holiday home for the week. The journey went smoothly. Andy did a great job of navigating the motorway around Stockholm and various sets of roadworks on the smaller roads. En-route we also stopped at a supermarket to purchase some food.

The house we are staying in is located in an area to the south of Stockholm, on the shore of Lake Båven. It has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. I’ve spent several hours this afternoon relaxing with a cup tea, watching the water and trees. Highlights so far are seeing a black necked diver swimming on the lake and a red squirrel in the woodland around the house. It’s so peaceful here. Just the sounds of nature can be heard.
