Family heirloom

Another DIY day, so not many photos taken!

This cabinet was made by my great great grandad on my mother’s side.

After my mother passed away a few years ago, I cleared her house and this - and a few other things he’d made, came home with me. I never knew him so it’s lovely to have such a personal link with him.

He was a master carpenter and did a lot of specialist restoration work at Mottram Parish Church (according to my Mum) - and other places in the Mottram & Hyde area where the family lived :-)
