As it's been a hot day I took Tess to the estuary where I knew she'd be able to have a paddle.  The tide was right out and we had to walk on the mud for a short distance and then she just ran and ran in the water.  She saw some seagulls in the distance and chased after them.   She had an interesting encounter when we got back from our walk this evening.  There was a cat in the garden quite close to the door.  The cat and Tess just stared at each other until I called Tess back to me, then the cat ran away.
