I did it!
B was a great DIYer/occasional badger! He always did the jobs needed with me helping (following instructions)!
So, when the blind chain in the bathroom broke and James couldn’t even get it down, I fixed the chain with string and carried on. But, it got on my nerves and eventually I decided to try myself. I did that bit quite easily but the bathroom backs on to the rear of next door and I needed a new one. We had bought an off the shelf before and B cut it all down and reassembled it. Not only was that not an option for me, but there were now two sets of screw holes (one from previous owner) and I just knew it was too long a shot that they would be in the right place, and while I’ll try most things, drilling isn’t one of them! Cue a new, if expensive twist and fit type blind. I measured several times and paid extra for the ‘in case you measured wrong’ insurance.
Not only did I measure right, but it was quite easy to fix on my own! Feeling pleased (and private) now!
