St Cadoc

St Cadoc is said to have founded the Parish of Cambuslang in the 6th century. The church has been rebuilt a few times and the most recent version seen in the distance was built in the 19th century.

Cambuslang is known as the site of the 1742 Cambuslang Wark: a significant event in the Scottish Reformation where a great deal of religious activity and debate in the future of the church took place.

We were through to meet friends (one of whom was the chef!) for a long overdue catch up. It was a glorious day weather wise and we spent hours outside eating and enjoying the BBQ. As I said yesterday, it was like being abroad.

Home in time to see the Eurovision results. And Dr Who.
