Regent, Royal and Carlton Terrace Gardens

Edinburgh 

A beautiful day to be allowed in to the largest of Edinburgh's New Town gardens to still be in private ownership. It was open as part of the Scotland's garden scheme.

S & I enjoyed a wander through the woods and across the lawns, peeking over the wall to Calton Hill and snatching glimpses of the city, crags and forth between the trees. 

Bus out to visit M, in time for tea and cake. Then a wee wander in the garden.
