Walkmen

We are throwing out technology that we no longer use. Walkmen (you can't really say 'Walkmans', can you?) were introduced by Sony in 1979 and were very popular in the 1980s and 1990s. The term 'Walkman' first appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary in 1986.

A Walkman is a portable audio player that offers a 'private listening experience'. We used them to play music while out walking or on the long train ride to Sydney.
