Sea Wolf

I was thinking of this painting while at a NW Coast Art lecture at the Bill Holm Center at the UW Burke. Bill was NannaK’s teacher and wrote the book “ An Analysis of Form of NW Coast Indian Art”. NannaK used the Formline Design as first described by Bill. Formlines are usually black and are used to define the outlines.and main shapes of a design. NannaK ( HCB)
