Olney

Today we took a bit of a roadtrip up to Olney for Sue and Gina to visit Grandad Bert's grave before we fly back to Melbourne on Friday. June will be joining him after we leave. He is buried in a managed field, where instead of the traditional headstones, each grave has a tree planted on it, with a carved wooden stake to indicate who is in there. The idea is that eventually all of the stakes crumble and all that will be left is a forest.

It's already a beautiful, calm place.

This shot was taken whilst they were all taking a moment.

After a few days of paying my respects, I'm looking forward to getting back to the living - we finally get to see my brother tomorrow, who arrived back from the States this evening (just in the nick of time!). We're getting an early train to London tomorrow to spend the day with him

I cannot wait!
