Facing Up To The Fact You Gotta Wear Shades

Today dawned with sparkling sunshine so we were up and out early for our run but it was back to being pretty chilly at that hour so suitable apparel of a running jacket and jogging bottoms was required.
It was then the usual Sunday food shop followed by our customary pint at The Horseshoes - en route to which we saw two glorious Jag E-Types travelling in opposite directions. To our surprise they then both arrived at The Horseshoes (one sometime after the other as the occupants had got confused by the nearby country lanes) with several other Jaguars of a more modern persuasion for what seemed like an impromptu meet-up. Frustratingly I couldn't get an image of either of the E-Types as they were both surrounded by parked cars.
So after enjoying our al-fresco pints 'n' crisps we decided to head into town again only to find it was absolutely thronged with cub scouts, who appeared to be attending some kind of major jamboree.
Luckily some of the side streets were less overpopulated and this is where I managed to capture my images for today. My main image is of the very glamorous young lady sporting designer shades as part of the shop window display for an eyewear retailer - I just loved her nonchalant pose and the gloriously red backdrop with the aquamarine box and bright yellow flowers in the foreground - it made me feel like I was somewhere much more exotic than down a side street in Maidstone!
My extra was another shop window display further down the street as I was just drawn to the automaton's smiley face - I just had to face up to the fact that today's images were going to be on a facially based theme.
Today's title is again partly paraphrased from a song title - The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades by Timbuk 3 - which I think has some of my favourite opening lyrics to a pop song:

I study nuclear science
