Ju arrived this morning and we walked up to Ji’s for coffee. From there we went up to the school to pick up a map ready for Arts Festival trail. There were plenty of venues to browse, and enough that were completely new(Ji and I went last year too). We all started our Christmas shopping (!!), I bought Ju’s big birthday present for next year, a couple of things for the garden and a group of small coloured vases from this stall. No doubt all will be blipped in due course! We stopped for a delicious lunch at a pop-up cafe in the church hall. The sun came out in the afternoon- it had been overcast all morning.
Once we decided we’d had enough Ji went home to drive to her nephew’s house to see his new baby and Ju and I went back to my house for a cup of tea and for me to listen to her story of her recent cardiology appointment. She is really struggling at the moment - she needs a replacement hip as well as the problem with her heart.
I did a couple of chores after she left and then made a cake ready for the book group visit on Tuesday.
