By Royal appointment

A glorious sunny day, Started by securing tickets in the pre-sale for a concert at the Barbican in November which will feature Public Service Broadcasting performing with an orchestra. Then it was over to Downham Market to buy lunch and down to London. Over to Piccadilly and Green Park to meet up with RGS (and GA) colleague James. A drink near the Hard Rock cafe, and then down to Buckingham Palace. I had an invitation to an Education and Skills garden party. Not somewhere I thought I'd ever end up. Through security, and into the gardens. Met two other RGS representatives, and had some food and drinks from the tea tent. Some photos taken. King and Queen mingling. A walk around the lake and met up with someone I knew. Lovely weather. Ice cream. Left for train, and had a few issues with the return journey which ended up taking nearly 4 hours rather than 3. Pizza to end the day.
