Got an invite to see the new Lexus LM 4 seater Takumi cruiser. It’s an acquired shape, to me the Darth Vader grille is hideous but it’s inside where the car wins the day. Luxuriously fitted in soft white leather and plush carpets throughout, the rear compartment has colossal armchair seats, a 32” TV, 2 built in mobile phones (one each) complex heating and cooling, multi position seats and panoramic sun roof, and all the other electronics you can imagine. What a machine! Fine for cruising the interstates and autobahns but a bit useless for the crowded badly maintained UK motorways. The bad news - at £117,000 this is most likely the last time I’ll get in one.
