Rolling

I finished seeding the barley field in the morning and did a couple of wet patches of oats fields after that. In the meanwhile Jussi took our roller out for the first time since 2020. There's rain in the forecasts a few days from now, but most of the fields will have time enough to germinate before that and as long as it's dry, rolling will be helpful. But more importantly, it reduces the need to collect stones.

Jussi got about a half of all fields sown so far done by 5 pm and I did some of that reduced stone picking. Actually it was more than enough anyway. Two local companies had a party in the evening, and we went there to see people and enjoy food and drinks, but my back was so bad that we left before the better of the two bands started playing. A pity, but I just wasn't enjoying it that much. Instead, we watched the Eurovision Song Contest back home. I had to give up on that too, when the last songs were played, and go to bed.
