Model boat club

When we walked through the park this afternoon the model boats were not zooming around the pond as is usual on Sundays, but tables had been set out at the end of the pond with a selection of their fancier model boats. I assume they were having an “open day” and showing off their models. There were some leaflets around and a bit a chatting amongst themselves, but no active recruiting seemed to be happening. I dare say they would have been very informative if approached though!

The sun was shining and lots of people were lying around in the sun, but there was a bitter easterly wind as soon as you got out of the sheltered spots.

We carried on up to the Botanics and had some coffee and cake there.
