Pretty white bells
Thank you for the kind comments about Gavin yesterday - he has made a remarkable progress since he got home 10 days earlier, and everyone who saw him then cannot believe how much better he is looking. He looked very poorly and his face looked very shrunken, so by yesterday the progress was very noticeable. I think as he was fit before he got ill this has helped in his recovery. He was very tired last night after a busy day and having his friend visit all afternoon but was very much happier for the good day and Mike's visit.
I let Gavin sleep late this morning and then when he was up, breakfasted and I had changed his dressing he said he wanted to join me on a walk with Xena. So we did a very slow walk, just one loop around the woods and he coped very well. I spotted these flowers on the walk, not sure if they are ladybells?
I had to get some groceries so Gavin came with me, and then we drove around our area looking at which houses were on the market. Our house is very large and as much as we love it, we may have to consider down scaling to something more manageable - still large enough to house all the boys when they are home but not as excessively big as our current house.
Tomorrow morning we are going to the Royal Marsden hospital in Chelsea for the appointment with the oncologist. When Gavin was in hospital I was so concerned about how we would get there but now that Gavin is so much better, we are able to get the train to Victoria Station followed by a short taxi ride to the hospital. We have lots of questions and hopefully will get some answers tomorrow.
