A special day

First of all, today is special because I'm very happy to have finished my art journal page. It took me about 10 days to complete, which is more time than is typical for me. Of course there were extenuating circumstances with my mom, but I also needed to carve a self-portrait to begin the lesson! I must say I am very pleased with the result and myself for following it through. You can see all three blips about this journal page here, along with an extra self-portrait blip posted in 2012.

Speaking of following through, today marks one year since I resumed posting to Blipfoto after one year of not posting at all. This is the 2nd thing that makes this day special for me. When I decided to start up again, I made a promise to myself... I set an intention to really try to blip daily for more than just a few months! I have succeeded for a full year, only missing 4 days last October when we were dealing with Hurricane Milton. 

For the record, I joined Blipfoto originally on December 4, 2010 :⁰) thanks to friedaquilter. From that date through 2015, I basically posted a blip every day. But from 2016-2024 I was quite sporadic, posting for just a few months or maybe 1/2 the year. I didn't blip at all in 2022. When I got too busy with my art, l let blip slip!

I'm here today to say that I am so glad to be here, grateful to use photography as a creative expression... To share my art which has been warmly received... To rekindle my friendships here and make new ones, to visit many countries and learn new things, plus enjoy the beauty of those places. Thank you for your visits, your comments, stars/hearts, and for genuinely supporting me through both good times and the challenging ones. xo lenna
