when Ted  appeared looking sweet and innocent. Gooseberry sawfly has appeared, a word of warning to all with gooseberries and Worcesterberries. 
John sprayed it with warm soapy water and will need to ask the house sitters to do the same. 

Another splendid day, I did a little more strimming and John mowed a pathway through the grass.
