1st layer...

finally got the first layer of this abstracted landscape series started!  After spending quite a bit of time making sketches, looking at images and trying to decide...i just got to it!!!   This will of course change quite a bit, but one of the things i'm gonna try to do (hahahahaha) is not totally obliterate this composition....and try to make it work in maybe 2-3 layers, instead of what often happens and i overwork it and then obliterate much of what i've already done.

very mizzily day here, Arthur and i paid a visit to the Fiddle Shed to get plants for the greenhouse.  I've known Jan who owns it, for the past 16 years, and finally they have sold the business....so big changes coming for her and husband.
