Morecambe Bay

There was a cross-bay walk today, led by the guide. We viewed it from the top of Arnside Knot, much safer! We had a look around with Lynne, in search of creatures, but there isn’t much flying possibly due to the dry weather. It was a good walk though, and a very fine view.
I collected some milk from Low Sizergh Barn on the way home, to make some more Brie. I’m hoping it will be ready to take on our holiday in June.
I tried out a slightly different method, instead of cubing the curd, I sliced it and spooned it straight into the moulds. This didn’t work out so well though, as the drainage of the whey was so slow that I couldn’t get all the curd into the moulds without staying up till midnight! It’s having to stay on the draining board overnight which I think will be too warm, with the Aga.
I will see how it is in the morning, I think it should have drained by then. I should think the cultures will get a good start in the warm anyway.
