Royal Palace, Madrid

We walked out this morning and walked in the streets around the Royal Palace (shown here) and discovered a new area for us, San Andres. It’s very walkable from our hostal and one to explore on our next visit. We had a light lunch on Plaza Mayor on the terrace of Don Calamar and then I headed to Atocha station to get the train back to Barcelona. Bb was going to be transferring to another hotel in the Salamanca area to meet up with colleagues, work whom he’ll be working with this coming week.

The train journey was easy and comfortable and I’m back home in Barcelona now. It seems a long time since I left, but it was only nine days ago. A lot has happened in that time.
