Reparation Man

This gentleman was declaiming very loudly in Loughborough Marketplace this afternoon. I couldn't really hear what he was saying but from the look of the banners that adorned his person, he certainly seemed anti-government and wanted 'the people' to rise up against it. He mentioned Reparation Day on 19th July. Google intimates that could be connected with anti-colonialism and anti-racism.

He was in the park last Sunday too, declaiming similarly around the bandstand while the band played on. Today I noticed his prosthetic leg. I wonder if he had lost it while on active service. That could explain his complaints if he hadn't been properly compensated afterwards.

Artisan market again so we bought more rabbit ears for Basil and also promising stick of treat called pork sausage. Very pleasant enjoying our lattes out side Caffè Nero.

Just before we retired for the night, I heard a rustling of a paper bag. It was the bag containing the treats and Basil was investigating it. Len had just left it on the floor.
