Headed into Burnaby for the first cortizone injection. Being Sunday, traffic was very light and we were able to park on a meter right outside the clinic. The information that they had sent me said that the procedure would last about an hour so I put $6 in the meter which would last an hour and forty minutes just to be on the safe side.
In we walked, checked in, (which took all of 1 minute), and was immediately called in to the treatment room.
The boss declined to come in and watch.
The injection itself hurt, really hurt, but was very short lived, mere seconds.
Back to reception to make appointments for the next two visits, each a week apart.
All in all, we were in there 30 minutes at the most, so some lucky bugger could've got some free parking time.
Fell asleep at home for an hour or so and now, 5 hours later, I'm waitiing for the medicine to work its magic. I was advised it might take a day or two.
Ah well..
