Viking funeral

A few years ago, those logs would have been taken away and burnt. Now, we just leave them to slowly decay.
So it’s a bit like my great-great-great-great-grandfather who would have probably been a viking and he would have sailed away on a burning longship. Whereas my great-grandad was buried.
Of course, grandad was cremated- so maybe it’s a circle of life thing…
