Lumpy water

Sunday - so a 10am swim at Shandwick was called for. Except when we got to Shandwick, some people were saying that the swell and waves were too big. So we piled back in the cars and went to the Port, only for the people who had said it was too lumpy to swim in Shandwick to do only the tiniest of dips. The Port is not as nice for low tide swimming as Shandwick. You have to wade so far out and the water quality is not as high. Anyway, it was a bumpy and bouncy 25 minutes in the water for me. Quite the contrast with Saturday afternoon's swim. I took the phone out in a dry pouch and got a few photos.

Most of the afternoon was spent preparing for a few people to come round to mark, retrospectively, Mr A's birthday. Sadly the weather was not as it had been for the last few days, but we were hardy and sat out anyway and had drinks and substantial snacks. However, the snacks could not have been that substantial as almost everything was eaten, much to my surprise, as I thought I had over-catered. Anyway, as ever a fun gathering - see extra.
