The work has started at the house at last. It is quite strange to say the least. The small conservatory at the back which was Mum's favourite place as soon as the sun arrived in spring has completely gone. My youngest sister who lived here from the age of 11 can remember my folks being so very excited when they had it built :( 
This beautiful pink plant has flowered and I don't remember ever seeing it before! R [ Mum's gardener] thinks it is because Mum always wanted it cut right back before it had a proper chance to flower :)
