What I've Done

Blencathra

Deb was supposed to be going to Florence for the weekend with a long time friend. Yesterday she got the train down to Lancashire to stay overnight before they flew out this morning. However, a couple of days ago Debs friend had an issue with her passport (it got drenched) and as such Passport control were unlikely to accept it, so they cancelled the trip this morning and are coming up to Keswick for the weekend. No issues - things happen.

My plans were to get more boggy hills walked during the dry period. One of the most notorious being Mungrisedale common.  I started by climbing Blencathra (possibly my favourite mountain), dropping off the back to Mungrisedale, and returning through the Glendaterra Valley. 10 1/2 miles, all of which was bone dry!
