The Woodland Garden (Sunday 18th May 2025)

Sunday's gardening work with B., the gardener, involved tidying up the patio area, rearranging the plants, subject to change, and adding new gravelling (until it ran out). I was mostly busy with the hose.

Charlie Feathers - Can't Hardly Stand It (recorded 18 August 1956, Cincinatti OH)
This 1956 B-side became one of rockabilly artist's posthumously well-known songs. Frequently covered by the Cramps, Can't Hardly Stand It was featured on the follow-up Kill Bill: Volume 2 soundtrack (2004) as well as the highly successful video game Grand Theft Auto V on the game's radio station, Rebel Radio. It was also briefly featured in the 2013 Jim Jarmusch film Only Lovers Left Alive. It was played on Mark Lamarr's rock and roll show in 2004 and more recently by Iggy Pop.
