On This Day

Lunch at Le Bistrot

A blip of the five 'Palma Pals*' - the lifelong friends to whom I chat most Tuesday mornings via zoom. The last time we were all together in the same place at the same time was for a funeral. Today we managed to rendezvous in Edinburgh for lunch at the French Institute. I've known these women since 1) we were 11, 2) since we were 17 and 3) & 4) since we were 18. That's a very long time for friendships to endure.

Edinburgh was chilly today but what did that matter. It was so good to be together with some plans made to get our diaries together again soon.

I've made this a mono, not because it fits today's theme, but because our bright and jolly patterns combined with the terrible lighting didn't really work. We're bright and colourful women - not a beige garment in sight!

*We used to have an annual trip to Majorca. That's not happened for a few years now but the name has stuck.
