…..the big red knob (ahem) was turned on today. Instantly the artificially intelligent home energy system sprung into life and began harvesting my data to send to its overlord in China. What could possibly go wrong? Of the energy we used today, 98.9% came from the great sun god and 1.1% from Scottish Power.

Elsewhere, we went to MKM in Gala to select flooring and a door. I’m on first name terms with all the workers there such is the frequency of my visits these last few weeks.
