No cygnets but still in love!

When I first spotted the swans on the Heritage Park loch they were a bit too far away for cygnet spotting. They were heading to the far side of the loch so I walked clockwise instead of my usual anti-clockwise.

They didn't come close to the bank but it was close enough for me to see that there were no cygnets in the water. I watched them for quite a while but it was fairly obvious, from a distance, that there were no wee ones hitching a ride on mum's back.

Sad, but I hope that no eggs hatched rather than the cygnets were taken by gulls.
