Matterdale Fells

Jess had a birthday voucher for a stay in a "Pod" at the Quiet Site near Dockray.  On Sunday evenings they have an acoustic artist in the bar so we booked for a Sunday.. Luckily the weather is still amazing. 
We planned to knock off a few more Birketts over 2 separate walks and then head over to the camp site for the evening.
Pretty much it went to plan,  5 more Birketts knocked off, my blip is the view from the summit of Great Meldrum looking north towards Blencathra on the right and Skiddaw Massif back left.
The walks were punctuated with lots of wildlife over mostly open fells and wooded edges.
Some interesting birdlife including a Lesser Redpoll and some super butterflies, a new one for me, The Green Hairstreak - montage in Extra.
The Quiet site was great, we crashed out in our Pod after a few beers/ciders and awoke to birdsong.
