River Cottage

I went with several friends for a walk followed by lunch at River Cottage (Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's place) today to celebrate one of the ladies' 60th birthday. River Cottage Café, at the top of the hill,  not the more expensive restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Still excellent food though. 
Her actual birthday was a couple of weeks ago but she's had a very hectic few weeks with her first grandchild born and sadly the death of her  mother (the baby's great grandmother) 17 hours later. Hence the delayed celebration.
We had a delicious and very healthy meal. The view from there is wonderful but unfortunately the selfies outside on the balcony didn't show the view as I'm not great at selfies. I'm front right wearing a pink top. 
The lady who served us took this photo thankfully! The staff gave Birthday Girl a lovely "River Cottage Birthday Card" signed by them when they realised it was her birthday, which was a nice touch.
