Main market Square
We got up just after 11 yesterday ( Sunday) following Saturday nights gig in Skegness, seems a lifetime ago!
C went to pick daughter H up from the station, whilst I did a quick clean & tidy up of the house.
Next job was to finish our packing, put the suitcases in my car in readiness for our drive to Manchester Airport for a 5.30 check in this morning (Monday)
A quick prawn salad for a late lunch before
leaving C’s in Lincoln to last nights (Sunday) gig in Nottingham.
Finished, loaded all the gear back into the van, drove back to Lincoln, unloaded all the gear into the garage/house. Quick change, said goodbye to H and the woofers and got on the road to Manchester around 1.30am
Made good time, a service stop which included coffee & a flapjack to keep us going around 3.30am, arrived at our designated parking at 4.45am. We sat around the airport lounge waiting for our Gate to be allocated, feeling pretty tired by this point.
Smooth check in, took off on time 08.25, well apart from being charged £48 at the gate for our small wheelie cabin bag, that we’ve used many times without a problem with other airlines, our first experience of Easyjet :-(. Our holiday was booked by a travel agent, will stick to sorting things myself in future me thinks!
By the time we landed in Krakow, C had managed a couple of hours sleep on the plane, no such luck for me though. Private pick up & Hotel all good, once unpacked we needed to eat, so a wander took us to Kraków’s main market square, a truly beautiful place, very busy, lots of tourists & students. Amazing stalls & lots of lovely aromas floating on the air.
We found an Irish bar for our team’s Euro Final on Wed. too which also just happens to be Cs birthday……..which is why we are here in Poland :-D
Today’s blip is of a section of the Square with some of its impressive architecture.
