Sophie Weeding
The bracken on the drying ground has sprung up again whilst we have been away. I went up this afternoon to fill the bird feeder and pulled some stems as I passed through. Sophie put in an hour's weeding early evening so I went up to keep her company and update some photographs. Despite the lack of water, some of the wildflower seedlings are sprouting and certainly the plants which Tony and the children put in are doing well. We may be able to sow more after this Bank Holiday weekend when we are supposed to have some rain.
I am now on the waiting list for a steroid injection in my knee, just 6-8 weeks away. I hope it comes round before our 'walking holiday' in the Highlands and six days of orienteering on Deesside......
