More of the same

This little church is less than a mile from home. Our Lady Help of Christians.
I was going to the hospital to visit again but the bus was running late again so I walked a few stops on and waited outside this lovely little church.
I had spoken to Terry this morning before the doctors came round and then he rang me back after they'd been. He said the main man came today who he has not seen before but who was obviously in charge. He told him that the MRCP showed that there is still a lot of nastiness down there (in his abdomen) and he has a small clot in his pancreas. More bad news. He told him not to worry about it! He was already on anticoagulants but now a higher dose - Terry was not sure what the name was (I like to know being a retired RGN). He was also told he will need a CT scan but not yet - my God, he'll be glowing with radioactivity at this rate.
When I went to visit I had to wait outside as there was a large entourage in his room of some doctors and a number of medical students. Poor Terry! They said I could come in if I wanted to but I thought there were already enough people in there and I might put the med students off if I did so I waited till they'd finished. Probably as well because Terry said one of the students was a nervous wreck!
Terry looked pale today and tired but then he didn't sleep well again last night - I asked if he'd had the oramorph and he said no! When I asked why he said he'd wanted to try without it. He is his own worst enemy! Of course, he may have just said that to put me off complaining to the staff - he told me the night nurse was so slow she was almost going backwards. This evening he said she is on tonight so I told him that he had better ask for his oramorph at 10pm so he might get it for 11. You have to make light of this sh*t or you'd lose the will.
His brother Brian also visited for part of the afternoon slot.
He has eaten better - small steps but I'm hoping there might be some bigger ones once this clot is sorted out and the infections subsides.
