Fire, wind and earth

Had a wee fire this morning, used tissues to burn some tree prunings and garden debris.
A gentle breeze fanned the flames and the ashes will be added to some compost to be returned to the earth.
Usual garden tasks and a bright and comfortable day albeit with some clouds and around six pm it actually briefly rained with a distant thunder.
The builder called and we had a first hand report of his excursion to hospital last week. It seems his A&E visit was just in time sepsis caused by E. coli infection.
Dinner roasties with jumbo cod fish fingers and garden peas.
