Mural time again
Last year about this time we had my friend Paul Taylor, the story teller/artist from Australia, come for several days to teach song, dance and paint some small murals. Here and here. Well he is back to work on a really big mural with the students. He has come in and painted a lot of the base. The younger kids will paint in parts sort of like a paint by number and the older kids will put the dots everywhere. I can't wait to see the finished piece.
Today I asked Paul if I could get a photo quickly so I stood on a chair to get the best vantage. He was orienting me to what is what. This is all about the aquafer and watershed in our valley.
The part purple part closest to me is the Laramie Range where Happy Jack is. The blue area is the foot hills with a gold border around the aquafer replenishment area. The solid gold part is Pilot Hill. Then Laramie is the big blue circle. The golden area is the prairie with the Big Hollow and some small blue reservoirs. With the Laramie and Little Laramie Rivers running through it. Then there are more foot hills in red close to Paul and the Purples are the Snowy Range Mountains. It is so cool to see everything laid out but in an artistic way.
