Last night in the Whitsundays

Tomorrow we point the car south and begin the 2200km drive home to Batemans Bay. Not that we are in a hurry. We'll do it over six days, including two in Canberra for family time. The lazy blip is of the Airlie Beach foreshore as seen from our dinner table at the Shipwrecked Seafood Bar & Grill. The Galliano Prawns and Blue Swimmer Crab, Mrs D and I agreed, were well up to it. Apparently, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are known at the restaurant. A framed newspaper cutting on the wall shows a photograph of them taken when they dined there, and a dish on the menu is described as their "favourite". The glorious Ms Kidman for a while had a holiday home near my place in Batemans Bay, but sold it; and tonight she was not in the restaurant. I suspect she is tryng to avoid me.
