Flowers by the sea

I think the yellow stuff is oilseed rape; there were a few other flowers mingled in. These fields should be full of poppies in the first week in June, but today I only spotted one tiny poppy. The endless dry sunny weather may have affected them. I’m really hoping for some rain tomorrow.. The blue background is the sea, not the sky.

My DIY NHS saga continues. I was asked to take twice daily blood pressure readings for a week and submit to the pharmacist at my GO surgery. . I did this but got a resounding silence. So I went online again to query the silence. They phoned me today and said they ‘couldn’t find’ what I had submitted! I had been directed specifically to a place online by the pharmacist and had to explain it to them during the phone call; eventually they found my submission. Finally ‘the pharmacist’ phoned me to discuss the results. He felt that it wasn’t right that the biopsy people had said my blood pressure wasn’t low enough. He felt my levels were fine and that going lower would risk further kidney damage! I have persuaded him to contact the biopsy people direct. Meanwhile the promised discharge report has finally appeared, 11 days late. There are just two sentences and no detail is given about the blood pressure readings. It feels as though the report was never written on the day but someone has just thrown two sentences at it today!

The NHS is certainly becoming a place where the patient has to take a DIY stance to get anything done.and even then everything takes ‘10 working days’.
