Memorial María Luisa

María Luisa Álvarez was a local photographer and mountaineer, from Infiesto, who died in an accident on the mountains in about 1988. This year sees the 35th incidence of a photo contest organised in her memory by her former colleagues. It has taken off, and is a significant international event. There i a Facebook page called Memorial María Luisa, which is worth a look. 
So far Infiesto has kept control of the event, though there are signs that Oviedo is becoming increasingly important to it. A feature is large prints, of the prize-winning photos, installed all around the town. I´ve shown as main a photo that shows some of the frames and photos in their situation in Infiesto.
