Variegated Rhodedendron

We purchased this beautiful Rhodedendron a few weeks ago. It is in a half barrel and seems quite happy. It has just flowered, and already the florets are scorched by days of relentless sun. It will probably go over soon, and hopefully be hardened for next year. I am pleased that the colour in the image is nearly exactly true, and gives an accurate depiction of what we see. And my wife chose it specifically for the variegated leaf. A lovely addition to our garden.

Variable weather today, humid and thundery this morning , fresh and damp this afternoon and a few sporadic showers, though none of the significant rainfall that we need.
