Fledgling
Today's the day ..................... to feed the brood
Do you remember a few weeks ago, I told you about the bluetit that looked as if it had decided to move into one of the nestboxes in the garden? I was anticipating that when Mr and Mrs Nuthatch found out, there would be ructions - because that was usually where they were.
And, when I was out there today, I could hear the unmistakable sound of a hungry brood of fledglings demanding food from their parents - but on further investigation, it was coming from a different nestbox, not far from the first one. I managed to get the above shot, which isn't great - but shows beyond doubt, that this is where the nuthatches ended up this year.
So I hope an amicable agreement was reached without any feathers flying - because I could also see that the bluetits were indeed in the original box and working hard to feed their hungry brood. It's a hectic world out there at the moment ......................!
