Amaryllis

We came back south to find that this beautiful amaryllis had flowered while we were in Cumbria.

It belonged to Doreen and it didn’t flower last year! Now it has and it’s a poignant memory of her that it has this year.

Otherwise, it’s been a full on day getting the house ready for photographs next week. We’ve decluttered the study/third bedroom. Stuff has either gone in boxes, other hidden spaces, for recycling, filing or as general rubbish.

I’ve never seen the room looking so tidy and clear. There will be another round of sorting to do next time we’re in Kent, the priority this time is to make it presentable for the photos.
