Too pink

My friend HB once memorably said that our cherry tree was too pink so I sent her this picture of the Zephirine Drouhin rose gleaming pink through the window behind one of my little goat girls (I half heartedly collect Staffordshire pottery but have restricted it to girls with goats or it’s going to get out of hand)

On the theme of pink, In the morning I went over to Hambledon to take Mum to the doctor having hit the phone at 8am to get an appointment.  The highlight for both of us (it was a false alarm btw) was a deep deep pink single peony outside the surgery.  Stunning. 

I have quite a lot of reading to do so that kept me busy in the office.  Walked with the dog at lunchtime…

Cooked a delicious chicken and bulgar wheat tray bake.  

Watched a couple of eps of Code of Silence on ITV, written by a writer that was on my team at the BBC.  It was extremely tense mainly because the lead character kept doing things that were not SENSIBLE.
