Mrs Evil Goat

Had another call from the fracture clinic today saying they needed me to come in and have a plaster put on!! I queried what had changed since yesterday but the person I was speaking to said she didn't have my x-ray just that when people had an injury such as mine, the normal treatment was too put it in a cast and she had my file there with a note to arrange the appointment :0(

I am hoping when I go to hospital I can speak to the Dr and say I'm coping ok with the splint as if I have a cast on apparently I won't be able to drive which is going to be a nightmare. But also I don't want to hamper the healing or risk complications further down the line. I'm thinking if they couldn't see it initially it must be a tiny fracture. I need to understand what the risks are if I just stick with the splint. Person I spoke to today said it could be an option but I would have to wear it 24/7. It's made of neoprene and it stinks after I've done the dogs and horses so I have been taking it off to wash. I was also initially told to take it off X3 a day and move my wrist :0/

I don't know how I'm going to manage the business and look after the horses if I can't drive so I'm really in a pickle.

I've driven over to see mum today and also drove to Bristol at the weekend and I'm absolutely fine as long as I keep up with the paracetamol.
